FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...

Q:  When will I see my proofs?
A:  For most sessions, expect to be able to view your proofs online within 2-3 weeks.

Q:  How long do I have to order?
A:  Your online proofing gallery will be available for 30 days in which time you should place any and all orders.  A reactivation fee of $50 will be required to reactivate your online account, after your 30 days is passed.

Q:  Do I get proofs with my session fee?
A:  No, all images can be viewed online for 30 days.  If you would like traditional 4x6 prints, they may be ordered from the A la carte menu, or if you want an entire proof set (1 4x6 of each proof), special discounts are available. 

Q:  Is design work/collages included in my session?
A:  I generally do not charge a design fee, when a minimum order requirement is met (generally equivalent to the purchase price of an 11x14), however, my rate for design work is $25/hr with a 2 hour minimum.

Q:  What type of payments are accepted?
A:  I accept cash, check, and credit cards online via paypal.

Q:  How long does it take to get my order?
A:  Most orders are in my possession within 2-3 weeks.  If you choose the $12 shipping option, orders are processed more quickly and arrive at your door via UPS, usually within 10 business days.  No part of any order will be processed until payment is made in full.

Q:  What is included when I purchase a CD with copyright permissions?
A:  Each CD is packaged in a custom designed CD cover.  'Copyright permissions' gives you permission to print pictures up to a size 8x10 and use watermarked images on personal web pages such as facebook.  Hodge Podge reserves all rights to any and all images.  Commercial use is prohibited.

Q:  What is a mounting?
A:  Several mounting options are available, but I primarily use masonite mountings.  It's an 1/8 inch substrate which your print is mounted onto.  This helps prevent tearing, bending, etc.  I highly recommend and encourage you to have any enlarged prints 11x14 and larger to be mounted.

Q:  Do you have a studio?
A:  Yes,  I have a small in-home newborn studio.  It is primarily used for newborns, however, on occasion, I make use of it for senior studio work or small children.  I prefer the use of natural lighting as well as the look of the outdoors for most portraiture.

Q: What happens if it's raining?
A: Beautiful images are dependent upon good weather and good lighting...and keeping my equipment in working condition is dependent upon keeping it dry. Soo.. sometimes it is necessary to reschedule.

Q: What should we wear?
A: Please, Please, Please, do not wear matchy matchi-NESS! I love for you to wear coordinating colors and to coordinate your styles..just not everyone in the same shirt please :) I suggest thinking outside the box..mix stripes and plaids..lots of layers and accessorize! Hats, jewels, scarves, gloves! Most of my favorite images of my own children are when I pulled randomness out of their dresser drawers the day that I had a wild hair to photograph them.

Q: When and where will our session be?
A: I customize each shoot based on my client. However, I almost always shoot outdoors..in country fields, deserted buildings, etc. using vintage props perhaps.
And, almost always, sessions are scheduled for that "golden hour" ..about 1-1.5 hours before sunset. This is when I do my best work, and how I achieve my style that is represented in my portfolio boutique.

Q: When should I book?
A: ASAP..as I am first and foremost the mother of 3 children, my appointment availability is limited and I book up to 3 months in advance.
